Jamia Dock, PhD, is a results-driven Cleveland, Mississippi, consultant and educator, known for her impactful work with struggling youth that motivates and incorporates community outreach. She has guided Climbing Higher Heights, LLC, since 2017 and delivered leadership training for teachers, as well as parent workshops and academic boot camps that get students focused on intensive learning. Inducted into the Teachers Hall of Fame, Dr. Jamia Dock takes pride in elevating the performance of teens who often feel overlooked by society.
A certified grant writer, Jamia Dock also maintains qualifications as a professional development trainer. She has delivered instructional improvement support to K-12 schools across Mississippi. She also organizes anti-violence awareness campaigns that engage parents and youth.
Her achievements included designing benefits for students and parents in crisis, as well as organizing effective discipline and achievement plans. She instituted the Ladies of Elite awards for female students and the Men of Distinction recognition for male students.
Determination and the belief that all students can learn are the forces that drive my commitment to public education. I began my career in 1997, I have served in various capacities, but none compared to being a classroom teacher. As a consultant for the past eight years, I am met with the same joy teaching provided. I named my company Climbing Higher Heights because it motivates me to never let obstacles discourage me, and to always be a beacon of hope to all I encounter. Climbing Higher Heights represents all who stopped standing in the “gaps” and began work to eradicate the “gaps” that exist in our schools. I am committed to working diligently to promote progressive change to create avenues, which ensure that teaching and learning occur daily. As a consultant, I have met or superseded the district’s goals in my services to school districts and presently service fourteen school districts. Maximizing potential and propelling academic growth are my daily goals. Education makes the impossible, Possible!
